Medicine Hat to host 2025 State Championship

Medicine Hat Big League has been selected to host the 2025 Alberta Montana Legion AA State Tournament. This championship tournament will decide the team from Alberta/Montana that will advance to the 2025 North West regional tournament in Billings, Montana Aug 6 to 10, 2025. The winner at Billings will represent the North West Region at the American Legion Baseball World series in Shelby, NC Aug 14 to 19, 2025.

The location and host team/program for the event that Medicine Hat is hosting is decided on a rotational schedule. Our organization successfully hosted this tournament in 1996 and 2010 and now, it is our turn again in 2025.

An agreement is in place and included that outlines the responsibilities of running the event. Seven teams will qualify through league play, plus the host team for a total of eight. The event will begin with the hosting of a banquet on July 29th for all teams, coaches, umpires and invited guests along with a guest speaker.

The games will begin on July 30 and conclude with the championship game on Aug 3rd. All games are hosted at Athletic Park and tickets will be on sale in the late spring of 2025.
